About this speaker
Tim Glover is a two time NCAA champion in the javelin throw while competing at Illinois State. Multiple top 5 finishes at USA Championships. He holds a personal best of 84.09M (275-10) from 2015. He continues to train and compete at the highest level possible, maintaining a throwing distance over 80 meters even after injury had limited him in the past. In 2015 he suffered a back injury that severely limited his throwing. In 2016 he suffered a torn elbow early but still managed to throw 78m (surgery in 2017). Fast forward a few years and in 2019 he suffered a torn labrum with partial tears to his rotator cuff, 77m that year (surgery late 2019). The comeback season of 2022 saw an 82m throw while managing the rotator cuff issues. Tim is sponsored by Velaasa and has been given the unique opportunity to experiment with a variety of javelin brands and equipment over his career. A past job at Gill Athletics gave him his first insight into the manufacturing side of track and field equipment. He currently trains in the DMV with limited access to facilities. He has been self coached for several years.
